4 Generations Photography Project – 1st dates set

Today's article on my Four Generations Project

The West Australian newspaper today ran a story about my ’4 Generations Project’ which will see around 20 Great Grandparents from Western Australia photographed with their Great Grandchildren in black & white stylised portraits to be exhibited in Perth in 2011.

The response has been overwhelming with my poor iPhone struggling to keep up with all the texts and emails received.

The project criteria are:

• A newborn or baby under 6-months-old
• A Great Grandparent/s
• Ability to travel to Leederville in Perth before Christmas this year.

Already I have a confirmed thirteen families with at least another 9 getting back to me…

The entire exhibition and shoot is sponsored by the magnificent Pop Studios who are allowing me to shoot the entire series in their state-of-the-art facilities in Leederville. And if that weren’t enough the wonderful bunch at Fitzgerald Photo Imaging is also a sponsor and will be printing the images AND helping with the marketing for the exhibition. Pop Studios has confirmed that the first shoot for the project will begin on Wednesday 17th November. This will be the first of three shoots and I will be inviting those families with older or very young babies to attend this first session.

Dates for shoot 2 & 3 will follow.

I’m so excited about this I’ve had a grin on my face for almost 12 hours straight and I have no idea how I’m going to sleep tonight! Thanks to everyone who called asking for details, I’m eternally grateful to you all for wanting to participate in this project.
