For Mums-to-be, once you have booked your newborn shoot and as long as you are a fan of my Facebook page, your maternity shoot is complimentary (except for studio shoots) and takes place at your home AND one location of your choice.
Typically these take 2 hours: 1 hour at your home and then 1 hour at a beach or another location of your choice.
Some of the most stunning maternity shots are taken out on location. Once you’ve told me what sort of images you are after, we’ll work out the best place to achieve those memorable photographs you’ve always wanted.
Studio
Photographing mums in the studio is incredibly creative because the light can be precisely controlled . Sessions last two hours and the images are always stunning!
The studio shoot takes place at Pop studio in West Leederville where privacy and a friendly atmosphere are guaranteed.

‘The Journey’ – Unique to Richard Barry Photography
‘The Journey’ is a series of images taken over the entire duration of the pregnancy and is a unique offering in Australia. The photography starts as soon as you want it to (the sooner the better) and involves monthly visits to the studio in West Leederville where photographs will be taken of you and Bump in a controlled lighting environment, once a month.
At the end of 9 months, we’ll then have a wonderful photographic collection of all the changes you have gone through during the pregnancy which I will assemble into a single montage shot and mount. You can choose either a canvas or acrylic mounted image measuring 16in x 30in which will WOW anyone who sees it.
