Matilda hits the international stage!

Matilda's sleepovers are super cute

Little Matilda – just 9-days old in these newborn photos – is having a snooze with her auntie’s Chihuahua puppies who are only 5-weeks old themselves.

These super-gorgeous moments were captured after Matilda’s Mum won a free shoot for becomming my 500th Facebook liker.

And what a shoot!

While these photographs may look like they were just taken, nothing could be further from the truth.

Never work with children or animals

Newborn photography is tricky at the best of times, there’s a lot of waiting around for baby to fall asleep but when you add seven puppies to the mix, it’s one very long battle! Every time the puppies fell asleep, the baby would be awake and vice versa.

Taking these super cute shots was never going to be easy

At one point, we had all seven puppies asleep and were just about to add Matilda to the little mass of sleeping bodies, when she woke up and started to cry which in turn woke five of the pups!

Mum and I worked very hard to get to a point where we could get Matilda and a selection of the pups together. At that moment where the pup to her right leaned against her and gave a contented sigh, that’s when I started taking the shots!

I hope you enjoy them :)
